THERAPY for ANXIETY
is for you if you experience generalized anxiety, social anxiety, fear of making mistakes, or feel immense stress from the internal pressure to “please everyone” or “be perfect.” You excessively worry about various aspects on what hasn’t happened yet, attempting to control an unclear future in an effort to calm your present anxiety. As you start to find yourself uncomfortable in social interactions, you find yourself avoiding or retreating because of the relentless, intrusive thoughts. In worst cases, you’ve experienced a panic attack, followed by fears of experiencing another one, leaving you unable to relax or on edge because you want to be “prepared” for the next one.
THERAPY for TRAUMA
is for you if you find yourself being “triggered” or bothered in a way that doesn’t seem appropriate to the situation at hand. Your parents were absent when you needed them, neglectful due to their own busy schedules and unresolved emotional problems. Perhaps, you can recall times when they were verbally and/or physically abusive, causing you to struggle to feel loved, content, or safe. You’ve been reading about various attachment styles, and notice traits of yourself having an anxious or avoidant attachment, leading to problems in the relationships you value most or are eager to maintain. While some incidents from your past may be obvious as being “traumatic,” you can’t pinpoint what constitutes the “trauma” and feel unsure about how much your current struggles, negative self-perceptions, and self-doubts are stemming from those earlier experiences.
EMDR THERAPY
might be for you if you struggle to resolve negative emotions, thoughts or beliefs about yourself that persistently hold you back. You might have tried traditional talk therapy for months and years and still continue to struggle because you haven’t quite delved into addressing the root of your problems.
At times, you get irritable, lash out, or act in ways that don’t align with who you are or want to be. You experience nightmares or “strange” dreams that have a consistent theme and you’re not sure why they recur.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy is found to be effective in overcoming various emotional and mental challenges such as, anxiety, panic attacks, stress, performance anxiety, and more.
